Two Germantown vehicles stolen, used to burglarize Memphis business

Germantown Police are investigating the theft of two city vehicles and various tools and equipment stolen from the public services complex overnight.
At 4:51 a.m., Germantown police received a call from the Memphis Police Department indicating that a missing vehicle was used in commercial burglary at AT&T, 6267 Poplar Ave., just west of the Germantown city limits.
Suspects backed the vehicle into the business in order to gain entry. Germantown officers immediately responded to the Germantown Public Services Complex at 7700 Southern Ave. and found that the facility had been burglarized. Officers discovered that two public works vehicles were stolen from the lot, along with tools and other equipment. One of the vehicles was recovered at the scene in Memphis.
The second vehicle is still missing and is described as a white 2011 Ford F350, vehicle number 5034 displaying Tennessee license plate 2005-GA. The truck has a City of Germantown seal affixed to both sides. In addition, all missing equipment and tools have markings identifying them as the property of the City of Germantown.
