CHS will present a very ‘bunny’ comedy

After the success of “James and the Giant Peach,” Collierville High’s Draco Playhouse has decided to trade in giant insects for a giant rabbit!  This season’s fall show is the rib-tickling comedy “Harvey” by Mary Chase as the cast and crew aim for an early November opening.

Houston Homecoming

Students and faculty at Houston High School celebrated Homecoming Friday night with a football game against Bartlett High School. Katie Jernigan was crowned 2013 Homecoming Queen. Houston defeated the Panthers 35-9 and remain undefeated this season.

Gateway Tire to open in 2014

Houston High School was one of only four area teams to stay undefeated on the season Friday night after beating Bartlett High 35-9 at home in 2013 Homecoming game.

GIVING BACK

More than 40 employees from the Carrier Corporation helped students, parents and faculty Saturday morning create several vegetable gardens at Collierville Elementary School. The volunteers spent all morning sprucing up the school grounds and creating the gardens, which will eventually be used to grow fall vegetables that will be harvested by students and prepared in the school’s cafeteria.
