Mercedes-Benz dealership opens doors in Collierville
Posted on April 3, 2014.
Mercedes-Benz of Collierville officially opened its doors earlier this week at 4651 S. Houston Levee Road.
Owned and operated by Trudy Higginbotham-Moody of Jackson, Miss., in partnership with her father, Dennis Higginbotham of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., the dealership is the third in the Higginbotham family of dealerships, following Mercedes-Benz showrooms in Jackson, Miss., and Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Higginbotham-Moody called the new dealership a “state-of-the-art Autohaus-designed facility, complete with a large and inviting service and parts department with 27 service bays offering Saturday hours in addition to weekday hours of operation.”
“The 16,000-square-foot showroom has a comfortable client lounge area, gift shop, children’s playroom, finance center with leasing department, accounting office, fitness center and full-service automated carwash,” Higginbotham-Moody said. “The dealership showcases a large selection of every new vehicle Mercedes-Benz offers, including AMG performance vehicles, Sprinter commercial and luxury vans, and the smart car, as well as the largest inventory of Mercedes-Benz Certified pre-owned inventory in the greater Memphis area.”
The dealership also features an “extensive selection” of trade-ins.
“We would like to thank the Town of Collierville for such a warm welcome into the community,” Higginbotham-Moody said. “Our staff has been training for the past few months to prepare for this day, and we are looking forward to providing Collierville and the surrounding community with first-class service and an excellent Mercedes-Benz experience.”
Construction on the 41,000-square-foot dealership began in July 2013 and was completed by Kevin Vaughan of Township Development Services and Montgomery Martin Contractors LLC.
The Higginbothams will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and public grand opening celebration later this summer.
