The Crosswind Elementary fifth grade Student Council members had a memorable evening on Sept. 28. Student Council members were inducted and sworn in by Mayor Stan Joyner and pinned by the school principal, Dr. Andre Crafford. The students also had a special treat by posing for photos in front of the newly renovated Collierville double decker bus! Many family members and town officials were on hand to congratulate this new group of leaders for the students, staff, and administrators of Crosswind Elementary.

The Collierville Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for First South Financial Credit Union at 369 S. Byhalia Road. First South announced a 3,950 square-foot Collierville branch opening Oct. 11. With 16 Mid-South banking center locations, First South’s continued growth has propelled the credit union to become the largest in West Tennessee based on capital.
