The Houston Lady Mustangs knocked off Memphis Home Education Association 52-47 Friday night in the Renee Scales Lupus Foundation Classic at Cordova High School. Shaela Gardner paced Houston with 12 points. Jaida Roper had a quiet night with 8 points. The Lady Mustangs jumped out to an 18-8 first quarter lead. However, MHEA clawed back with a 17-9 run before halftime. Houston extended its 2-point halftime lead in the third quarter with a 11-6 run and held on for the win. They are now 7-0 on the season and scheduled to play at Wooddale on Friday night.
