Three local scouts earn Eagle

Rivers Strickland Norment

Rivers Strickland Norment

Rivers Strickland Norment successfully completed his Eagle Board of Review and will be awarded the Eagle Rank.
He earned his Arrow of Light and joined Boy Scouts in February 2009.
Along his path in Scouting, Norment camped 79 nights and completed a High Adventure trip to Sea Base in 2012. He earned 22 Merit Badges and was inducted to Order of the Arrow in 2014.
His Eagle Scout Service Project was leading 308 hours of service building garden boxes for Crosswind Elementary School.
Norment will graduate Collierville High School in May 2016 and hopes to attend Mississippi Sate University, East Tennessee State University or University of Memphis.

 

James Grayson Coleman

James Grayson Coleman

James Grayson Coleman successfully completed his Eagle Board of Review and and will be awarded the Eagle Rank.
He joined Boy Scouts in August 2009. Along his path in Scouting, Coleman camped 81nights and completed High Adventure treks to Northern Tier in 2011, Philmont in 2012, Sea Base in 2013 and earned the Triple Crown Award. He earned 27 Merit Badges and was inducted to Order of the Arrow.
Coleman’s Eagle Scout Service Project was leading 110 hours of service building a trail walkway for Big Hill Pond State Park.
James will graduate St. George’s High School in May 2016 and hopes to attend either Indiana University, Boston College, Denver University or the University of Tennessee Knoxville to study Business.

Brett Austin Sanchez

 

Brett Austin Sanchez successfully completed his Eagle Board of Review and and will be awarded the Eagle Rank.
He earned his Arrow of Light in Nov 2008 and joined Boy Scouts in January 2009.
Sanchez camped 150 nights and completed High Adventure treks to Northern Tier in 2011, Sea Base and Philmont in 2012, the Summit in 2014 and earned the Triple Crown Award. He also attended the National Jamboree in 2010.
He earned 24 Merit Badges and was inducted to Order of the Arrow and earned his Brotherhood. Sanchez’s Eagle Scout Service Project was leading 151 hours of service building a footbridge, improving a trail, and cleaning a sump well for Big Hill Pond State Park. He will graduate Christian Brothers High School in May 2016 and will attend the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
