Collierville home sales stable in October

Home sales in Collierville were stable last month, according to the Memphis Area Association of Realtors.
Data released this week indicates that 86 houses were sold in October, the same number as a year ago.
At $271,950, the median sales price was down $19,050 from a year ago. New home sales were down 73 percent, with three sales recorded last month.
To date, sales are up six percent this year in Collierville, with 1,032 recorded through October, the most among Shelby County’s suburban municipalities.
“It’s a pretty stable market right now,” said MAAR President Thomas Murphree. “And we’re ahead of last year’s pace.”
Sales were down 18 and 9 percent in Germantown and Bartlett, respectively. Sales were also down 2 percent in Shelby County.
Sales were up in Arlington and Lakeland.
