The Houston Mustangs fell to Germantown 21-14 Friday night at home. Houston was unable to score in the first half. Their two second half touchdowns came in very dissimilar ways. The first was a 9-yard pass from Garrett Bates to senior receiver Chanse Pullen early in the third quarter. The second came in the fourth quarter on a JC Reynolds blocked punt return. The Red Devils got on the scoreboard early in the game thanks to a 94-yard kickoff return courtesy of receiver Rodney Williams, his second of the season. Their two second half scores came on red zone scrambles by quarterback Miles Guyton and running back Davinci Leavy. Houston gained 115 rushing yards in the game and 117 passing yards. The Mustangs are 0-3 on the season and will play at Christian Brothers on Friday at 7 p.m. ABOVE: Germantown’s Devin Martin knocks the ball away from Pullen. Photo by Kevin Lewter
